Why is it that on increasing the wind speed the rate of evaporations increase

rate of evaporation is directly proportional with the wind speed so whenever there is increase in wind speed leads to more evaporation because the water vapour will blown away by the wind easily so the amount of water vapour decreases in the surrounding
