Hi there!
The question “why is math so complicated?” is one we come across so often with the parents and students we work with, it’s become almost a given.
Many times I have heard my Friends say ‘Who created Maths? Why I've to study this? It's very difficult? ' =_= etc.
I'd rather say,
Mathematics is very straightforward; if you are the type that doesn’t admire telling loads of stories when all you are trying to say can be communicated in two sentences then Mathematics should be your friend.
On the other hand, if you enjoy beating round the bush before you hit the nail on the head,
Mathematics has several methods to solve the same problem, some are short while others are long hence Mathematics should also be your friend.
With all our personality differences, we need to befriend Mathematics.
Why should we think what we do daily is difficult?
The reason why most persons long for their Mum’s dish is because she has decades of experience in cooking not necessarily because she was well trained as we think. Since we do Maths daily, we should also become experts at it.
It is so funny that most of the persons that complain about Mathematics are extremely smart when calculating money, a number of them do this without calculator. ( & that's Reality =_=)
If Maths is hard as persons paint it then you ought to go get a Mathematician to help with your daily expenses.
Mathematics is one of the very few subjects where students can score 100% because as long as you solve it correctly you will have the same answer your teacher has in the marking scheme,
this isn’t the case in written courses/subjects.
I perceive that the reason why most persons think Maths is difficult is due to the following reasons:
1. TEACHER: Some (I repeat, Some) teachers believe in making students feel they can’t get a distinction or credit cheaply in their subject/course, hence they infuse fear into the students via their words and also refuse to explain to students in the simplest form.
2. FAMILY & FRIENDS: Before some students get to a particular class, they would have been told by their family/friends/neighbors how impossible it is for them to comprehend Maths; this creates a mental barrier which takes time to be broken.
3. LAZINESS: This is one factor a number of students possess :p ; they pile up work till it’s time for examination and they do a crash program.
I think:
"If you are taught by the best teacher in the world and you don’t take personal responsibility by studying, your failure is guaranteed."
The reasons I listed above aren’t cogent enough to stop anyone as those succeeding in Mathematics had to surmount some or all or more of these obstacles.
So, when next you step into a Maths class please have an open mind, attempt to delete all the negative stories you’ve heard about Mathematics and your negative experiences too.
Mathematics is too nice to be ignored. Mathematics is too friendly for you to hate.
Mathematics is saying “I’m interested in you; care to be my friend… :)"
Don't fear Maths, Make it your best friend! The rest it'll handle..... !!

Students often find themselves totally muddled up and running down grades due to a single trouble that seems to them , mathematics .
yeah , agreed that it goes a bit too vague for young minds sometimes and can be tormenting , but when studied from the soul , with clear understanding, patience and support of concepts .. it is really fun to play with numbers .
in my opinion , a person who is devoted and had a concentrated mind witj conceptual thinking and abilities he/she will never take maths as a burden , a stress , strain and torturing .
✴Let's see some things we need to build inside ourselves in order to understand mathematics better:-
▶
unless and until we make a clear framework in our minds with full concentration , it's sure that we'll never be able to make a single calculation , hence concentration comes first in line , try to concentrate while performing a task
▶
how can you solve any equations , problem , or a sum without having a clear understanding of what the question is about , what it's asking to provide you etc?
In order to do this , we need to understand the concept of the questions we are asked to solve ... take help from parenys , teachers , mates , helpers and tutors .. they will help you know what the question's about
▶
once we're done with understanding concepts and development of concentration framework , what we need to do next to to evaluate every step with patience , not in a hurry , slowly and with understandable efficiency .
your solution should be clear to the asker and must reflect the understanding and concept you have , it leaves a deep impression .
If follow these steps , you'll absolutely be a good MATHS solver.. go ahead! the world awaits more ARYABHATTAS!
