Why is radioactive pollution harmful than any other pollution?

Radioactive pollution is more harmful because it kills many species and affect humans for a long duration.Other pollution can be reversed with some efforts and strict rules. But radioactive pollution cannot be reversed (for example:- Hiroshima and Nagasaki).
