It is also known as service sector because the tertiary sector basically refers to the services being provided by the people in various forms such as labour, teacher, scientist, etc. while primary sector is agriculture and secondary sector is related to manufacturing of new commodities. Tertiary sector refers to growth of new services for the betterment of a country.
