why is the density of solid higher than liquid.

because the volume of solid is concentrated and we know that density is inversely proportional to the density so and the volume is concentrated in a small amount than the density is increased so a solid have highly density then liquid

However,the volume of liquids is largerthan volume of solids.this is because of expanding movement of a fluid ofliquids that solid does not possess.theliquids always have lower densitybecause they have larger volume,but yet the same mass.
