In Rural areas, most people are engaged in unskilled, manual, agricultural work and require more energy as compared to the people in urban areas.
In case of income, urban areas have a higher poverty line. Urban areas have a higher cost of living as compared to rural areas, and people living in urban areas require more money to fulfil their basic needs, hence, a higher poverty has been set for them in terms of income.
