Why is the large intestine important though no digestion occurs there?

Hii..

▪Large intestine mainly composed of 3 parts i.e caecum,colon and rectum.A structure vermiform appendix is also present connected with caecum but it is non-functional..

▪Large intestine is very important organ of our body as it helps in egestion of undigestable food matter .

▪Large intestine also absorbs water from the undigestable food and allows it to be egested out of the body through Anus.
