The scene inside the house was very off-putting with dusts and cobwebs all over the place. The morning being a cloudy one very little light came through the dust coated window panes. This made the atmosphere inside the room eerie and gloomy. The narrator had the urge to just complete the task and get out of there as he was feeling uneasy and fearful.
