Why is the part of the leaf which was covered with the black paper in A, white in picture B and rest of the leaf is bluish-black ?​

Answer:

(i) The aim of the experiment is to show the importance of light in photosynthesis.

(ii) The black paper is used to absorb all light that the leaf do not get any sunlight.

(ii)White colour shows the absence of starch.

The rest of the leaf is in blue black colour showing that only the part of leaf which was exposed to light contains starch, if sunlight is not there then photosynthesis will not occur and starch will not be

produced
