Liquids: Low intermolecular forces, greater freedom of movement, greater intermolecular distance.
Solids:Higher intermolecular forces, less freedom of movement of particles, less intermolecular distance.
Diffusion: Movement of particle from higher concentration to lower concentration.
Rate of diffusion in liquids > Rate of diffusion in solids.
Diffusion takes place,by collision between the molecules, since liquid molecule have greater freedom of movement, it collides more and brings out diffusion faster. The intermolecular distance is more in liquid, hence having lower bond enthalpy, which allows free movement of liquid particles across the system.

Ans. Rate of diffusion of liquids higher than that of solids, because liquid particles have higher kinetic energy, hence collide more , bringing out diffusion faster.
