Why is the rate of transpiration increases on a hot , windy day ??

Wind – Wind can alter rates of transpiration by removing the boundary layer, that still layer of water vapor hugging the surface of leaves. Wind increases the movement of water from the leaf surface when it reduces the boundary layer, because the path for water to reach the atmosphere is shorter.

Rate of transportation increase in hot day due to evaporation is more in such conditions

Due to continuos evaporation from the stroma of leaf,water loss will be more and hence rate of transportation will also be more

Increased air movement facilitates more transpiration on windy days..

other reason for rate in increase on wind conditions is due to it increases transpiration because leaf boundary layer is smaller..
