Why is water not used in controlling electrical fires?

water is not used in controlling electrical fires because in water salts and many impurities are dissolved and water is a good conductor of electricity and the salts present in water can conduct electricity too and it can harm the electrical appliances or the person who is throwing the water .

so it doesn't conduct electricity

it doesn't has free electrons and free ions
