Hey mate....

Yeast is a single celled, microscopic fungus that uses sugar as food. In bread making, the carbon dioxide produced by the yeast during respiration is trapped in the dough, causing it to rise.

Hi

Here is your answer

Yeast are the single-celled micro organisms.

Brewing - Process of making beer.Yeast turns wort(liquid extracted from

mashing) into beer.

Baking - Process of making puffed up eatables.

These are used in brewing and baking because while making bread,

Carbon dioxide released by the yeast is trapped by the bread and puffs up.
