why it is difficult to breathe in high altitude?

It is difficult to breathe bcz the amount of oxygen is less in higher altitudes.

At high altitudes ,the atmosphere becomes thinner. Thinner atmosphere means less air and less air means that oxygen would also be less.so due to the less concentration of oxygen ,it's difficult to breathe.
