Hey buddy here is your answer !!
Yes it is. But at what cost? That is a more important question. The terms of the plebiscite are not honoured completely and the Indian Government has changed the laws that governed the political system when Kashmir decided to become a part of India.
There are many controversies, wrongs on both the sides (The separatist/pro-pakistan militants and the Indian government) that has resulted in making the lives of Kashmiri people very miserable. Brutalities that make you cringe and feats of bravery and sacrifice that make you proud. And of course, even the POK is still part of India, illegally occupied by Pakistan. But is it really a part of India? Well. That is a deeper question. Kashmiris support any team that's playing against India in cricket. They do not relate to our national flag. They do not relate to many of our ideologies that form the essence of our nation.
Kashmir is beautiful, it is in our songs and in our heritage. I do not want it destroyed by political clashes and international disagreement. Kashmir decided to accede to India to fight off the Pakistani invasion, and we apparently will continue to honour their plead. It is merely a shadow of what it was before all the violence and still, so surreal. Kashmir, Cashmere, Kashmere, etc have all been used by poets of all ages. And it is identified to be part of India.
Hope this answer will hope you more !!
