Why malabar coast receives rainfall in july while tamil nadu remains dry?

malabar is situated in south of western ghats and western ghats is higher than eastern ghats so that monsoon can't go through the southern western ghat and it is the reason that malabar coast gets heavy rainfall as now a days Kerala is suffering from this more than half of kerala has drown in water.
