Why minerals mined only in those regions where they occur in the form of ores??

Minerals are naturally occurring substances which is uniform in composition and can be found in a solid, liquid state.  They are obtained from Ores which  are concentrations of minerals in rock combined with other elements and high enough to be economically extracted for use. All ores are minerals since ores consist of minerals mixed with other elements, but all minerals are not necessarily ores.

Ores are rocks which contain concentrations of valuable minerals. They are mineral deposits which contain enough minerals to be mined for profit. Minerals are mined only in those regions where they occur in the form of ores because the cost of extraction is very high
