the Moon cannot generate its own magnetic field to protect it from the solar wind, which can also strip away the atmosphere

Heya friend,

Here is your answer : -
Moon is a planet of our Solar System. It is the only natural satellite of our Blue Planet i.e. Earth. This solar system lies in the Milky Way Galaxy. Moon is also a planet but instead of revolving around Sun, it revolves around Earth. It is a true fact and is proved that Moon too have its own gravitational pull or we can say that Moon, like Earth, also have a Gravitational force which attracts objects towards itself.

✴Now, You will have a question in your mind that if Moon also have gravitational pull like Earth then why didn't it have a atmoshere like Earth?

✴First of all, know what's an atmosphere. An atmosphere is a blanket of gases. The gases contained in an atmosphere may be poisonous too. Our Earth or we can also Our Mother Earth have a atmosphere which contains all gases necessary for existence of life. It mainly contains nitrogen, oxygen, etc.

✴Moon don't have an atmosphere because its gravitational pull is very weak to hold gases. So, the weight of a person on Earth and the weight of sane person on moon varies greatly. Weight is the product of mass of an object and acceleration due gravity at a place.

Hope my answer will be helpful to you my dear.

BrainlyPromoter: It has
BrainlyPromoter: I read it somewhere
BrainlyPromoter: that moon's gravitational pull is too weak to hold down gases
Albert01: no
Albert01: u know what is gravity
Albert01: if u want to know u can check my answers
BrainlyPromoter: Okay sorry
BrainlyPromoter: But I believe I read somewhere
BrainlyPromoter: I don't know whether it was wrong or not
Albert01: no problem
