The midday sun is exactly overhead at-least one a year between tropic of cancer and tropic of Capricorn.

This means places between the tropic of cancer (Bhopal located below the tropic of cancer whereas Vidisha located above the tropic of cancer ) and Tropic of Capricorn can see midday sun overhead twice a year.

Places which are located exactly on the tropic of cancer and tropic of Capricorn, one can see the midday sun exactly once a year.

Whereas place above tropic of cancer and below the Tropic of Capricorn will never see Midday sun i.e. the vertical sun.
