Why noble gases have largest positive electron gain enthalpies in their respective period ??

as they have their complete octet... thus energy required to accept electrons is less actually there is no need for accepting electrons thus it's electron gain enthalpy is more

because as we from right to left , in the periodic table we generally, know that Electron gain ENTHALPY increases,,, hence as we go LEFT , Electron gain ENTHALPY increases, due to the Electron affinity of non metals...
