why PCL5 is exist and NCL5 is not exist

Since nitrogen atom has no vacant 2d orbital in its configuration, it can extend its covalency only up to 5 . Therefore, NCl5 doesn't exist . But in case of phosphorous, an electron can be promoted from 3s filled orbital to 3d vacant orbitals . Therefore, phosphorus can extend its covalency to 5 . Therefore, a molecule PCl5 exists
