Plaster of Paris, that is CaSO4.1/2H2O
On reaction with water forms Gypsum (a hard mass).
CaSO4.1/2H2O + 3/2H2O--> CaSO4.2H2O
Therefore POP must be stored in moisture proof containers

If it not stored in airtight container it absord water in the atmosphere and become gypsum again and ww will not be able to use it
