why porters wear turbans when they have to carry heavy loads on their heads

Mostly heavy loads include many rough, tough and solid things , which can cause injuries to the sensitive part on the brain, like for eg skin of the head, thus to avoid the injuries and pain they do that ! Which helps them in bringing a relief and a reliable way to tackle the voyage !
