Why rayon is called artifical silk while nylon also appears like silk and has flexibility

Rayon is one of the most used artificial fibres in our daily lifestyle and it is often compared with natural silk fibre but not with the nylon.

Because,nylon fibre has a more plastic like texture and physical characteristics which is not suitable for making any kind of garments.

On the other hand the rayon is appropriate for garment making due to it's soft and comfortable texture.
