reservation is important to uplift the minorities , SCs , STs and OBCs. it is a good way to improve the social and economic conditions of the marginalised groups . Under the policy of affirmative action  , reservations have been crested for the minorities , SCs , STs and OBCs in the government aided institutions and for various jobs at central state and local level.
