Respiration is considered as exothermic reaction-----> because energy is released in this process. Glucose combines with oxygen present in our cells to form carbon dioxide and water along with energy. Respiration is considered as exothermic reaction because energy is produced during this process.

for the survival of life we require energy we obtain this energy from the food we eat the food molecules through the process of digestion is broken down into simpler molecules like glucose this sentence is come in contact with oxygen present in our body cells to form carbon dioxide and water along with the certain amount of energy since energy is released in form of heat in respiration therefore respiration is considered to be an exothermic reaction

C6H12O6+6O2-------6CO2+6H2O+ energy

hope it will help you
