sliding friction is the force resisting the motion when when a body slides on a surface. The force of friction depends on the area of contact between two surfaces. as the area of contact is less in the case of rolling than in the case of sliding, rolling ; rolling friction is less.

Rolling friction is the least friction
Eg. There are two person Ram and Shyam. They see a person carrying a heavy box. Ram go near him and help him . Shyam think about it and see a pipe or tire around him . He go near the person and he fix the pipe under the box. And now the person is using less force.
