why sa node called natural pacemaker of heart

The SA node is the normal pacemaker of the heart because it contains the myocardial autorhythmic cells with the fastest rate of generating action potentials. This is so because the electrical signals that arise from the SA node instantaneously travels to other myocardial cells.
