Why school bags are provided with wide straps to carry them?

I think this can be ur answer!!

School bags have wide straps as pressure decreases as area increases and so, students will not experience more pressure on shoulder due to wider straps...
If wide straps are not there than more pressure would be applied on shoulder and it can cause pain....
