Black is a very special colour.
Black is a great absorbent of heat as the reflection through a black surface is minimum and it gets heated up more than any other color and hence, white is preferred for clothes in summers as compared to black
If the surrounding temperatures are lower than the black coloured object, it'll start to radiate heat to achieve thermal equilibrium.
Ex: refrigerator
If the surrounding temperatures are higher than the black coloured object, it'll start to absorb heat to achieve thermal equilibrium.
Ex: the colour of thermal cookers are black
