South Africa  is called Rainbow Nation because it has got a huge multicultural diversity and coming together of people from different races. Whether a person is black, white, red it doesn't matter. All are equal and all stand to have a good future ahead. This term was coined by Desmond Tutu, then Anglican Archbishop of Cape Town
