Spices, mostly grown in tropical and sub-tropical countries. Spices like black pepper, cardamom, ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, chilli, fennel, fenugreek, coriander and cumin etc. form the economic backbone of the tropic and sub-tropical countries, that's why spices are more important in tropical and sub-tropical countries.
On the other hand, If come with respect to India the answer would be -
India is considered as the land of spices. In India 53 major spices are grown. Most of them are tropical and they play a major role in the economy of our country, that's why spices are more important in India.
