We feel pain because of the presence of sensory neurons specifically pain receptors. Our skin contains a network of sensory neurons and pain receptors. This enables us to feel and perceive any contact or change in environment.

The pain receptors play a major role, they help us to locate any damage caused to our body by giving a painful sensation.

In the interior of our body the pain receptors are few in number, this actually makes difficult to locate the exact position of damage, for ex: the pain in stomach usually feels to be coming from the abdomen.

The pain receptors actually work like a wire, they carry impulses to the brain, where the impulses get transformed in the form of pain. Now the brain does not feel pain because of the negligible presence of pain receptors. However there are some receptors, it is because of them that a tumour patient feels some pain.

So, it is not completely true that the brain feels no pain.

Hope, it helps, if so please mark as brainliest, please.
