Why the British Government has problem from the production of opium in central india and Rajasthan

opium is very costly and the materials usedfor it is cheap ,the british produces it in large quantity and makes huge profit but INDIA manufacturing and selling it in a very affordable and cheap price as the british is expeting their production rate to go down this is thier probolem
