forests are being called green lungs because the forest's trees are take the carbon dioxide and give us oxygen

because trees in forest provide oxygen which isi very much necessary for our lungs to function and for us to breathe. As the oxygen is provided by the trees in the forest that help in the process of respiration the forests are called green lungs.
