Himalaya mountains are situated in northern side of india.
The Himalayan mountains form an unstable zone because they are 'young mountains' which means they increase their height every year. we know that mountains are formed when two tetonic plates collides with each other. the Himalayan mountains are formed the same way. the reason they are still growing is because the two tetonic plates that form the Himalayas are still pushing each other and this causes minor earthquakes that create avalanches and landslides. these phenomenon can cause the land to be unstable, hence the Himalayan ranges form an unstable zone.

Himalayan mountains are situated in the northern sides of india. As the plates are moving against each others so every year there is a rise of about 5 cm that is why they are unstable, and avalanches occurs due to this.
