Pole Star does not move and appears to be stationary because it is on the axis of the earth, So it appear to be stationary.

bcz earth rotates about axis passing through poles and not through equator

Anonymous: Nothing changes its position in the sky (very much)
Its only you who looks in the sky while at the same time you are swirling around on a spinning earth. If you happen to look into the direction of rotation, which is a point in the sky northwards or southwards, then you see the whole universe moving around that point.

The pole star is just another star that happens to sit at that place on the north side. It doesn't move (very much).
