The earth is tilted on its axis, because of which very poor sunlight is allowed to reach the north and south poles. When the north pole is tilted towards the sun,it experiences continuous day light for six months. And when the pole is tilted on the other side, it experiences continuous night for six months.

hope it helps!! :)

This is because the sun rays does not fall directly on the poles as on equator they fall slantingly.when the process of rotation and the revolution is going on the other regions on the earth get the summer and the winter while at the poles it will be for 6 months of Summer of 6 months of winter the main reason goes on the cause of the slanting rays of the sun when the sun's rays fall on the pole of north region it is summer in the north while the South Region faces the winter season when the suns rays Fall For in the southern region it is summer there.
