Why the stomatal pore remains closed when the plant does not need carbon dioxide for photosynthesis?

Stomata is a hole on the surface of the leaf for the transport of both air and water..... When the plant does not need the CO2, the stomata gets closed in order to reduce the lose of water...hope it helps :) ✌✌
