Why the value of "g" decreases.If we move away from the surface of earth?

The variation of the g due to the shape of the earth. It is not a perfect sphere it is flattened at a poles and balges out the equator. Equatorial radius is about 21 km greater than the polar radius.

g= Gm/r^2

That is g directly prepositional to 1/r^2

Value of g is list at the equator maximum at the poles. The value of acceleration due to gravity the way increase as we go from equator to the poles
