Actually, Anurag, it's not that their writing is poor.They do this becoz they don't want any non-medical person to read the name of the drugs written on the prescription.The only group of people who can read that correctly is the pharmacist who provides the medicines from the hospitals and chemist shops.Doctors do this because this is like a code.It has so many advantages.Also if doctors don't do this it will be easy for anyone to read the name of the drugs and they try to cure themselves in the future which can be dangerous.Also, it is useful for the chemist/pharmacist to check if the prescription is written by a doctor or not.
Also, you cannot say that they write it badly like we do.If you have multiple prescriptions from different doctors, then you will find similarity in their writing...
