from ancient times, girls used to stay at home while boys go to work. girls were considered fragile while boys were considered as iron hearted and strong this assumption exists even now that is why girls are not considered worthy of doing outdoor work and thus this discrimination exists

Hi there!
Why is there discrimination?
We should blame the society for the discrimination. Discrimination means different treatment for men and women.
Discrimination was a very usual thing that could be seen in the ancient times, though it still continues today in some rural areas.
People still think there are separate jobs for men and women. They also stereotype. It is not only for women, but men are also troubled many times, which prevents them for choosing dancer, chef, or anything like that as their profession.
Literacy rate: From a very long time, boys are expected to study well, while girls are expected to stay at home and take care of the chores and others. They are also expected to help with cooking.
Boys are allowed to go out for longer, and girls on the other hand, are not allowed to stay longer.
Female infanticide and female foeticide were some of the common practices, which can still be seen in some rural areas.
Hope it helps you!!
