When two electric field intersects each other then it show two different value of electric field, which is not possible.

Hence two electric field never intersects each other.

I hope it helps you.

When two electric field lines intersect with each other we get two directions of field lines which is not possible

Explanation:

  • A tangent drawn from any electric field line gives the direction of electric field
  • When two field lines intersect more than one direction will be obtained which is not possible hence field lines must not intersect
  • Electric field lines always form closed loops, and for positive charge these are emitted away from the charge and for negative charge are emitted towards the charge
  • Around any continuous charge distribution electric field is symmetrically distributed and can be obtained by using Gauss law
