Typhoid is a food and water borne disease which affects the gastrointestinal system.Nowadays, there are good drugs available for treatment of typhoid ,and if the patient reports to the doctor in time , complications should not occur.

Typhoid vaccine is available ,at a very nominal cost ,and can protect against further attacks.

In my opinion TB causes more damage than typhoid.

Tuberculosis is a very tricky disease.Although it basically infects the lungs,it can also infect various other organs such as intestines, bones, reproductive organs.Infertility can occur due to infection in the fallopian tubes. And the worst thing about TB is that once you are infected, the mycobacteria remain dormant in your body even after adequate treatment.Whenever the immunity of the host goes down, this infection can reactivate once again.

TB does not have an effective vaccine.Drug resistant TB is a challenge for the physician.

For all these reasons,I would definitely say that TB causes more long term damage to the patient.

Thank you!!!
