In lilliput everyone were very short compared to Gulliver. Gulliver was like a huge giant to the Lilliputians. Hence they were very curious to know who this guy [ Gulliver ] is and how did he come here? And how come is he so tall? They actually thought that he belonged to their opposite kingdom. The opposite kingdom and lilliput were enemies. The opposite kingdom to lilliput were all giants like Gulliver where as Gulliver was very short compared to those Giants.
