Joe was a poor man. He was looking for a job to take care of his family. His wife wanted him to take her for a holiday. His son John, wants a new pair of boots and his daughter Ellie, wanted a frock.

He was very sad and was feeling helpless about his situation. He really was in need of a job but he was not being able to get one to feed his family well.

Answer:

It is a song which was initially sung by Eliza's bin man who was the father of Alfred P. Too little.

It was all about a list of everyday situations and happenings which one finds themselves in. It is also a desire to take the simplest ways out as "With a Little Bit of Luck" one's fate might change.

So hereby avoiding any sort of responsibility. The song is traditionally sung in a deep Cockney accent.
