because she made a pin cushion she make it beautiful with the torn pieces for her father important documents when her father know about that he was very angry he punish her .

She was punished because she had torn her father's important papers regarding the speech of the port authority.
She didn't deserve that because she only wanted to impress her father.
Her father didn't listen to her justification and straight away punished her. It was really wrong on his part.
