Following points may be helpful to you;

India is country comprising of people of various religions, castes, and ethnicity. Making a  constitution that looked into the interests and well being of people belonging to every such group without any discrimination was a mammoth affair

India did not have any previous constitution to refer to. Making the constitution from the scratch while incorporating the best of the constitutions of several countries, was a difficult job.

At the time of framing the constitution, India had just been released from the pain of a long colonial regime, agonizing partition, and the riots that followed thereafter. To frame a constitution in such circumstances that addressed all the problems of a new nation while entailing the rights and responsibilities of the citizens was complex.
