Why was Salvador Allende government thrown out

He helped many poor people by reform of the educational system, by providing free milk for the children and redistribution of land to the landless farmer and he also opposed foreign companies that are taking away natural resources like copper from the country and this policies were opposed by landlords,the rich and the church and also by some other political parties only for this reason his government had been thrown on 11 September 1973.
