Why was there “no turning back” after the Declaration of Independence was signed and published?

On the Fourth of July, they approved the final edited version of the Declaration of Independence. There would be no turning back now.

This is because the final version is approved. This means there will be no turning back because once it is approved and finalized, you CAN NOT change anything.
